Nicci approaches each class as an opportunity to advance every student’s personal practice through an ever-deeper understanding of the postures. She manages to make basic poses challenging by focusing on alignment and duration, and she makes more advanced poses accessible by providing options tailored to every ability. She infuses each posture with humor and a sense of play, all the while offering elaborate and expertly-timed cueing that helps to build flow and focus. Nicci’s expertise and experience lends an air of authority and depth to the studio, inviting students to submit to her instruction while also remaining responsible for how they feel and what they want to experience on any given day. This is a delicate balance, which Nicci makes possible through her own confidence and her high expectations of her students. She is a world-class yoga instructor!
